For the past 2 weeks, We learned about how to brainstorm about our superhero. We watched a video about Stan Lee and his ideas on how he makes a hero. He thinks about the power, how the hero got the power and the name of the superhero. We also learned about hyperboles, personification, similes and metaphors. A hyperbole is an exaggeration that cannot possibly be true. Personification is giving human qualities to nonhuman things. Metaphors are not using like or as, but using their own words and Similes use like or as as a comparison of 2 unlike things. We learned about different tags we can use for our dialogues like questioned, argued, said, replied and etc.
Descriptive Adjectives gives information about a noun or pronoun. Its telling about the number, color, size and other qualities. Most adjectives go before the noun/ pronoun and some go after the noun/pronoun. We watched a video about how you should write a story. You have to plan and think about the story and listen to your own writing. After the video, we watched another video about monster because we are making a monster story in 8th grade. You have to think whatever you think a monster is. You can make it playful, scary, sad, friendly and etc. We also learned about building your own fictional world. Think of your own universe. Who will have the power? Choose your own and make it come to life in your mind.

The married couple, Nicole and Christian McDonald, just had twin baby boys. What they didn't realize was their heads. Jadon and Anias McDonald have their head joined together. Dr. James Goodrich spent 27 hours separating the twins. The parents had assured about Jadon with the left side of his head which was paralysis. They have spent 5 months operating on the conjoined twins slowly. On October 18, it was the 4th and last stage. No one has ever operated on the twins like Jadon and Anias than Dr. James Goodrich. They would have life like heads to be used as a blueprint to see how they would operate on the twins before they begin. When it was 4:30pm, Nicole and Christian, along with the family, began to play the waiting game.
After midnight, they continue to work through the twins brains, vein by vein. After 17 hours, Jadon and Anias were now working on 2 separate operating room tiles. This operation was very risky for the twins. After the operation, Nicole and Christian knew that it was a bigger challenge for Anias. Anias took 6 more hours after Jadon. He had trouble breathing and heart issues and seizures before the operation. Nicole and Christian thought the twins could stay like that because they were perfect. The twins were funny and happy and thats what they wanted to see. Jadon and Anias are both different. Jadon is more happy while Anias is quiet. Jadon and Anias have only known what would feel like fused together. On Monday, we did a news article about a run away zebra. We had to read the interviews and make it into our own news article that we have to type on our own. We had to at least type between 350 and 500 words. On September 28, we learned about a mini sketching lesson. We had to sketch whatever was on our mind and write about it with dialogue in your story. We only had about 15 minutes to draw and about another 15 minutes to write our story about what we drew on our composition books like what we did in the story and what to do. On September 21, we did a warm up about Our Perfect Playground. We got to make our own playground on what would be inside and what games there would be. For me, I did video games, 2 dodge ball courts and a waterpark. On October 3, we did another warm up, but it was called “the sad sea monster”. We had to write why the sea monster was sad and then write how the sea monster turned happy. I did my sea monster that lost his family and didn't know where to go. On October 5, we had to write about a rubber ducky. We got rubber duckies’ from Mrs. Todesco and we had to write what our ducky can be. On September 26, we wrote about Which door we could choose. We can do a future door or a past door and etc.
