Current Event On September 4, Mother Teresa has been canonized by Pope Francis. Mother Teresa was given a Catholic Nun who used the rest of her life on helping India’s poor. Mother Teresa was given a second chance by Pope Francis and was given to become a Saint after her death in 19 years. Catholics in blue and white robes as nuns from the missionary of the charity sisterhood that was found by Mother Teresa. I thought she should become a saint because she used the rest of her life to help India’s poor. About 1,500 people that were homeless were driven to the Mass in a bus from Italy and given seats to be honored at the Mass. In the Mass, they were given pizza by the nuns. Right now, we believe that Mother Teresa is watching this from heaven. It is being inspired from poets and writers to be in the presences of God. In the mass, They brought up a relic of Mother Teresa’s blood in a veil and a wooden cross which was important to honor her in becoming a saint. It was important for saints to have a relic of some sort like bones from their body or pieces of their clothing. There was a huge portrait for Mother Teresa that the church’s credits on having performed two miraculous cures for the sick. Mother Teresa was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for earning a global recognition for the unending and compassion work for the poor.
